Ecco l'ultima immagine della "vecchia" 90, prima di due settimane di trattamenti meccanici e di carrozzeria. Si tratta delle due settimane immediatamente antecedenti la partenza per il mio primo raduno storico in terra straniera, nel paese che amo pazzamente... la Grecia!

This is the last image of the "last" 90, before a two weeks of beauty treatment between mechanic and panel beater. These are the days immediately before my first historical rally in a foreign country, in the country that I love madly... the Greece!
Raduno in Pista a Binetto con gli amici del Club Alfa Sport: in dubbio fino all'ultimo alla fine non me la sono sentita di portare in pista la 90 con le gomme ancora nuove e alcune cose da sistemare qua' e la'. La voglia era tanta ma per una volta la ragione ha avuto la meglio... ho sperato nella pioggia, nel qual caso sarei sceso in pista, ma alla fine il tempo ha tenuto (tutti felici per questo, come al solito, tranne me)

Track Day in Binetto with the friends of Alfa Sport Club. I was in doubt for all the day if bring the car on the track or not... in the end I decided to give up. I hoped a lot for the rain, that is the weather that I prefer for having fun while driving, but unfortunately the weather was not so bad. Everybody was happy for this, except me, obviously.
Alcune immagini dall'incontro svoltosi presso la Nuova Levantauto di Bari in occasione della presentazione della nuova MiTo e, sopratutto, dell'esposizione della bellissima 8C Competizione. Il Club Alfa Sport Puglia, in questo caso, faceva da cornice all'evento con le sue vetture, assieme a quelle di alcuni membri dell'Old Alfa Club Bari, raggruppamento di Alfisti dell'Old Cars Club.

Few pictures of the meeting that had place in Alfa Romeo Bari Seller (Nuova Levantatuto) in the day of the public presentation of the new MiTo. That day a wonderful 8C Competizione was also shown. The Puglia team of Alfa Sport Club in that day was a sort of "frame" to the event, together with some cars of Old Alfa Club, the Alfa Romeo group inside the Old Cars Club of Bari.
Il Raduno di Larino e' stato il primo Raduno organizzato dal Club Alfa Sport a cui ho partecipato ufficialmente con la 90. Non solo e' stato il primo, ma anche il primo fuori porta, a 250 km dalla "base". Di tutto rispetto poi la compagnia: Io in compagnia di Anna e anche di Paola e Gaetano, in aggiunta ai miei genitori arrivati a Larino in Camper prima di noi e persino mia sorella da Roma con tutto il gruppo dei Laziali. Insomma un raduno con i fiocchi gia' nelle premesse.
Il primo giorno turistico e' stato divertente, il secondo giorno "agonistico" non da meno, con alcune sorprese degne di nota come l'Alfetta GT 1800 che, magistralmente condotta da Fabrizio GT, ha tenuto testa a molte "moderne" non certo "di serie". Slalom lungo e rischioso, con muretti a filo di traiettoria, ma molto divertente e impegnativo, come lo volevamo insomma. Un peccato che l'area industriale, ottima per girare tranquilli senza traffico vicino, fosse troppo isolata anche per il grande pubblico e che, in definitiva, fosse quasi impossibile per i presenti assistere in punti diversi dalla linea di partenza (al sole, per giunta, con un caldo davvero molto forte).
Per essere alle prime uscite con la 90, non certo a suo agio su uno slalom di due minuti e mezzo, ci siamo divertiti moltissimo e, cosa fondamentale, non abbiamo concluso nelle ultime posizioni :)

This was the first "official" Alfa Sport Club event where I went with my Alfa 90. The first one and also the first not properly near, because of the 250 Km of distance between Larino and the "base" in Bari. It was a real pleasure also for my fellow travellers, Anna, Paola and Gaetano in the 90 with me, my parents with their Camper, arrived before us in Larino, and my sister from Rome with all the group of their region. A real great event at least in the premises.
The first day was very funny and turist oriented, the second one was completely dedicated to the slalom race. We had a lot of surprises, like the Alfetta GT 1800 driven by Fabrizio GT that petrified a lot of new Alfa, modern and not properly "original". The place was perfect for a race of that kind, the problem was that in a sunny day like that, there were no place where hide from the sun and find a place with a little bit of shade.
That one of my first quick drive experience with my Alfa 90 and "she" was not very at ease between all those skittles (2 laps of no more than 3 minutes for each one!). As one of the first to turn on the slalom track (absolutely not rubberized in the first phases) I was very happy to NOT be in the group of the last cars at the end of the day :)
Serata in pizzeria con gli amici del Club Alfa Sport, a Polignano (località San Vito) e Luca ha la geniale di idea di montare la sirena sulla 90. Tutte le auto che passavano da vicino prima rallentavano e poi rimanevano di sasso a vedere un'Alfa così "vecchia" per i posti di blocco: che risate! Ma solo per pochi minuti.

Taking a pizza with Club Alfa Sport friend in a warm evening of June (at Polignano, San Vito zone). My friend Luca has the great idea to put on my 90 the typical blu flashing horn of the Police. Incredible how many cars fear the horn and then the 90, thinking "oh my God... where this car is from?". LOL, yeah, but just for few minutes.
Una bella domenica, con il raggruppamento Old Alfa Club dell'Old Cars Club di Bari, dove ho fatto la prima esperienza di regolarità e dove ho scoperto quanto impegnativo in realtà sia questo tipo di competizione.

A really nice Sunday with the Old Alfa Club, the group for Alfa owner of the Old Cars Club of Bari (Italy): that was my first regularity quick race esperience and that I saw how challeging is this kind of competition.

Every sunny Sunday is good to meet Alfa Friend: on April a quick promenade in Bari, with Francesco and his Alfetta and Giovanni with his aggressive 75 TS, in temporary transfer.
